About the plot
Little Scrowlie is set in the San Francisco Bay Area. The first three issues comprise the first of at least three storylines that fit into a larger story, most likely to be concluded somewhere between issues 9-12, depending on how it goes.

The comic revolves around the cat, Little Scrowlie, Scrowlie's housemate Elisabeth, Elisabeth's mysterious, occult-loving friend and co-shopper, James, and the villainous CD. The story involves shopping for cool black, skull-infested clothing, catnapping, ghosts, Cthulhu, and, eventually, murderous, cute demon chicks, descent into the underworld, and perhaps armageddon.

Publishing schedule
Little Scrowlie was originally slated for publishing every two months. That schedule was modified to once annually, and finally to once every six months, the current schedule. LS #3 was out in February, and LS #4 should be out the first week of August (in time for the San Diego Comic-con).

About the artist
Little Scrowlie is the second title Jen Feinberg has published. The first, and also ongoing, title is Chi. Little Scrowlie is the first serial comic Jen has drawn. Jen is inspired by the works of Aubrey Beardsley and his ilk, as well as her cats, Hopey and Chi.

About the writer
Little Scrowlie is the first story ever completed by Todd Meister. Todd's influences include HP Lovecraft, Richard Brautigan, and burritos.
